The tower on Pyramidenkogel is an observation and broadcasting tower at an altitude of 851 m south of Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia. The wood and steel structure was built in 2013 and represents a 100-metre high screw. It includes the highest slide from a building in Europe. The slide runs along the helix, is 52 m high and 120 m long and has a 25° inclination. Sliding down takes some 30 seconds! The observation tower was designed by architects Markus Klaura and Dietmar Kaden. The structure built in wood and steel is already the third tower on Pyramidenkogel. It has been possible to view Lake Wörthersee from the heights ever since 1969 when the first tower was built.
